The Oakland Foundation was delighted to provide funding for the Active Family Fun Days across North Northamptonshire which took place every Wednesday throughout August 2024.
Water slides, circus skills, crazy golf, and lots more fun activities were provided for children and their families.
Oakland Foundation Grant Applications Coordinator Debbie Roberts said: “On behalf of the Foundation I was able to visit one of the play days in Kettering and meet with the children and their families who were having a simply amazing day.”
The Corby Fun Day saw 4,000 people attend, whilst the Wellingborough Fun Day enjoyed visitor numbers of 3,000.
Added Debbie: “It’s so important for families to be able to access free events throughout the summer holidays so that they can keep their children active.”
Cllr Helen Howell and Debbie were able to meet many of the organisations giving their time to the children and introducing them to a whole host of new activities and experiences.
