Oakland Foundation Grant Application Co-ordinator, Debbie Roberts, was filled with positive vibes after visiting a Love4Life girls group in Eyres Monsell in Leicester, which was funded by the Foundation.
Love4Life work with young people to build their self worth, increase confidence and develop positive relationships.
Said Debbie: “The activity for the group that day was creating a ‘jar of positivity’ where each of the girls had written something to uplift someone who may not be feeling the best; the jar was then left in reception for people in the community to access some good feeling thoughts. There was a great discussion about how doing good for others also makes us feel good.”
