The Oakland Foundation provided funding to enable InUnity, a youth and community development charity based in south Birmingham aiming to raise the aspirations, confidence, self-esteem and overall wellbeing of girls and young women in Worcestershire, to deliver student workshops at secondary and middle schools during this current academic year, 2022 – 2023, and will today launch the ‘Girls Night In’ at ‘Junior Youth Night’ starting at Wythall and tomorrow in Worcester.
Oakland Foundation Grant Application Coordinator Debbie Roberts commented: “InUnity kindly sent the Foundation an update of how well they are progressing together with a selection of images taken during some of the sessions already held and wished me to pass on their continued thanks to our board of Trustees for their support.
“On behalf of the Foundation I’m looking forward to attending future sessions to hear from the girls directly, and to discover how they have been benefitting from InUnity’s programme.”
