The Oakland Foundation working closely with P & E Sports, funded a number a summer holiday camp places for students attending the school.

Oakland Foundation Grant Applications Coordinator Debbie Roberts said: “The summer holidays can sometimes be challenging for families in terms of accessing fun and safe activities for children.

“During my visit I was able to meet the children who kindly gave me a ‘tour’ of all the activity rooms available to them and they couldn’t wait to tell me about the fun they were having and jumped at the chance to get their pictures taken with the Foundation’s big cheque!

“Our partnership with P & E Sports and Ipsley School aims to deliver a range of programmes to support children and their families, and it is a really positive example of our strong collaboration.”

P & E Sports multi-activity camp helps to promote physical activity, fitness and motor skills, and works to foster teamwork and collaboration, and helps develop confidence and self-esteem, whilst providing opportunities for creative expression and learning new skills in a safe and supportive environment where children can have fun and make new friends.

P & E Sports MD Dave Phelan commented: “I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for all the support the Oakland Foundation provide to families.
